Additionally, dashboards are designed for different user roles with relevant KPIs, and data security and governance standards are established.

This step involves choosing the most suitable technologies for the BI solution. It includes selecting the optimal deployment environment—whether cloud, on-premises, or hybrid—and identifying the best business intelligence tools for each component to ensure performance, scalability, and efficiency.

This phase focuses on organizing the execution of the BI project. It includes planning the scope of development and testing, scheduling the project timeline, and allocating resources effectively. It also involves developing risk mitigation strategies and estimating the project, including total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI).

In this stage, the actual development of the BI solution takes place. It includes creating custom data connectors, implementing ETL/ELT pipelines, and integrating data from various sources. Data quality management and security rules are applied, while data warehouses and data marts are developed. Reports and dashboards are also created to deliver actionable insights.

This phase ensures the solution works as expected before going live. It includes functional, performance, usability, and compatibility testing. Support documentation is prepared and delivered to the client, and finally, the BI solution is deployed into the production environment.

After deployment, this stage focuses on user enablement and system maintenance. It includes conducting training sessions for users, continuously monitoring the BI solution’s performance, and resolving any issues that arise. It also involves adding new data sources and configuring additional dashboards as business needs evolve.
